Rooms described as immaculate and very well presented; bedding and toiletries (Bamford) praised.
Staff repeatedly praised — bellhop 'Jo', concierge and doormen singled out as exceptional; a few comments that senior staff were less warm.
Excellent Back Bay location next to the Public Garden and near major attractions (marathon finish, walking distance to sights).
Bedrooms described as comfortable and spacious (Park View rooms praised) with high-quality bedding; a few notes that some rooms felt small.
Gym rated better than most hotels and toiletries well regarded; breakfast service receives positive mentions.
Several guests noted the hotel is pricey ('top end of our budget', 'a little expensive', 'if you don't mind paying handsomely'), so perceived value is lower.
Mixed reports: Contessa breakfast praised and some loved the restaurant, but dinner/food quality disappointed a number of guests.
Majority of reviews describe an excellent overall stay (location, staff, rooms); isolated very negative review exists but is not representative of most feedback.
